Digital Resources - Books and Stories

Our library owns many electronic books that can be accessed through the Accessit catalog or by MackinVia.

                            
If your student does not know or remember the
username and password for our e-books, please contact the school librarian at tdisante@oxfordasd.org
Please note that BookFlix must be accessed through the Chester County Library at www.ccls.org.

Our library has additional e-books available from MackinVia, access is obtained through Clever using the students' username and password. Select this link to access Clever.


There are also many other no-cost online sources that provide books and stories for students to listen to, read-along with or read independently. 
   

BookFLIX
  Video adaptations of children's picture books paired with an electronic book on the same theme that students can read on their own or follow along as they listen to audio narration.  To access this resource at home, go to the Chester County Library System's website www.ccls.org. Go to 'Databases', find 'BookFLIX' and enter your library card number.

          Stories from Between the Lions

           Articles for students to read from the monthly magazine.

     

Storyline Online
       Streaming videos featuring notable personalities reading children's books.
 An app for Storyline is available on the App Store and Google Play. 

   

Toon Books
 Easy-to-read comics available to read in English, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.

   

Unite for Literacy
 Provides more than 100 original, nonfiction picture book to support beginning readers. Students can read on their own or follow along with audio narration. Text and narration available in over 30 languages.

      

Early World of Learning
     World Book's Early World of Learning module provides leveled readers as well as classic literature such as nursery rhymes and fairy tales. This is a subscription database that requires log-in credentials. If your student doesn't know or remember the username and password and you cannot locate the on-resources pamplet, contact the school librarian at tdisante@oxfordasd.org.
